However, I had to do two additional things besides your suggestion to get it to work. First I think you left off, sudo chmod /etc/acpi/resume.d/25-compiz-kill.sh second I had to make a change in compiz fusion, under general options,display settings tab uncheck Sync to VBlank. With those two changes I am now able to use Hibernate with Compiz Fusion. Thanks for the help. Thanks for the tip.
